Mandatory Online CITI Training for Key Personnel
All UCSF key personnel conducting human research are required to complete human subjects protection training through an online program called the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). Review the FAQs About CITI Training for registration instructions and training details. Sign up to complete the UCSF Human Subjects Protection training. You can also enroll in the Good Clinical Practice and Responsible Conduct in Research courses, but these courses are optional for most people. If you are at the VA, complete the VA CITI training

If you have questions, please read the IRB FAQ or check with your supervisor.

Onsite HRPP Training Sessions
Come chat with Melanie Mace, HRPP Education Coordinator and other HRPP staff about a variety of topics, such as protecting human subjects, preparing a new CHR application, what the CHR looks for in a consent form, and post-approval event reporting. See the list of upcoming classes for more information and registration instructions.

iRIS Training
The CHR offers hands-on iRIS training. You will learn and practice common tasks related to submitting and managing studies in the iRIS system.
